Dan Murphy's Nerang

Although I don't usually drink whisky, I ordered a special one online a couple of weeks ago for a friend's birthday. Without going into details, due to unavoidable circumstances, I had to cancel the purchase of that bottle. Presumably the store manager, his response was exceptional. While the shop is highly praised for providing friendly and good service to customers, it's his calm and collected approach, delivering all possible assistance without a hint of reluctance, even at the last moment before the store closed, that earns his service a five-star rating.

NERANG store, Boxing Day 2023, after a tornado ripped through the Gold Coast and over 120’000 homes were without power all of those residents were searching for Ice. At 6:50pm I arrived to see a female Dan Murphys employee yelling at approx 10 customers who were begging to just buy 1 bag of ice to save some of their food, she kept yelling “piss off I don’t care what you want, I want to close and go home” while locking the ice boxes (there were still bags of ice left in it) the other customers started to walk off dejected, I attempted to walk into the store as they were supposed to be open until 7pm. She pushed the buttons on the automatic doors and locked them in my face, I smiled and asked nicely if I could just buy 1 bag of ice, she yelled through the glass “No, get lost” I have never ever experienced such rudeness from any customer service person anywhere. I will never shop at Dan Murphys Nerang again and I believe she should be fired, she doesn’t deserve a job.

If the close time is 8pm, Service should be available till close. Don't expect any service or acknowledgement on Wednesday nights we have had multiple instances with this night manager closing the doors before 8pm as stated. Refusing service to multiple customers due to the time previously even raising her voice at my mum for the same occurrence it's only because it's our local place that we have gone back not only was my mum refused service but a Hard-working engergex lady covered in mud head to two who if wasn't for those workers there would be now power for this business due to to power outages
